Where can I find falernum in Montgomery or Fairfax county (outside DC)?

Already checked Montgomery and ABC liquor stores. Also checked Harris Teeter and Trader Joes. I have yet to check the mecca that is Wegmans, but I wanted to see if anyone knew of any secret falernum sources in the area?

You should check The Caribbean Market in Takoma Park.

It'll have to be the non-alcoholic variety for you to get it in the VA area anywhere other than the ABC stores, I suspect. In which case I'd suggest you look at Grand Mart. There's one on Rt7 & Rt50 in Seven Corners.

You might try contacting the guys at this website who seem to be DC-area folk who reference falernum in several drinks - presumably they have a source.

And lastly, a recipe to make your own and a few locations to get it at - a WaPo item a few years newer than the Rockwell posting.

Fee Brothers makes Falernum, but I can't remember if you can buy directly from them. They're friendly people if you want to give them a call. You can also mail order from KegWorks.

I'm in Rochester NY, home to Fee AND Wegmans, and I wouldn't expect to find the Fee's falernum even at the MegaWegmans.
