Is there a musical equivalent to TVtropes.org?
I'd love to find a website, book, video, anything that breaks down and explores common elements of songwriting, similar to the way TV tropes breaks down common elements of Storytelling.

I think TVtropes' music stuff is a bit scattershot, and only a bit of it is actually about songwriting elements--a lot is about what uses music is put to (i.e. used in video games, etc.).

Well to some degree that sounds like the Music Genome Project - either fortunately or unfortunately, that's mainly dedicated to Pandora Radio nowadays.
