Does anybody remember an article online somewhere written by a former intern who hired an intern?

I think it was in the New Yorker or Salon but neither website yields results. I had thought it was linked by Mefi but again there's nothing in the archives.

I remember it, and it's annoying me that I can't easily locate it. For what it's worth, in case it helps your search or jogs anyone's memories, I'm fairly sure it was written by a woman, working at a (West Coast?) TV studio, who hired a male intern, probably via Craigslist.

I remember this too, but 20 minutes of Googling has gotten me nowhere. I remember the above Craigslist details. Maybe it was a production assistant rather than an intern?

Best answer: Bingo! In Act 4. I had a feeling it was This American Life.
