I'm trying to remember the title of an animated flick. The closest thing out there to it would probably be Ralph Bakshi.

The film is about 30 minutes long, with no dialog. It's rather trippy; I'm guessing it was made sometime in the seventies. It tells the story of creatures who hunt large flying things that look like manta rays. When these creatures are ready to die, they jump through a hole in the middle of their very organic realm (that floats in the sky, I guess). At the end of the film, we discover that the creatures do not die after they fall, but actually morph into the ray things.

It really was an amazing bit of animation, and I've been dying to find it again... Any help would be appreciated.
