Cricket in NYC

I would like to go to a cricket match in NYC.

I see there is a Brooklyn League that plays in Marine Park, but I can't find directions or a schedule with starting times.

Where are there other cricket fields here? How long is a match likely to last? My only real requirement is accessibility to public transportation, but it would be nice to have some kind of community/audience, and some food available, and maybe some pretty views or walks nearby.

There are cricket fields at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx. The last time I was there several years ago there seemed like there was always a game going on.

on review: Cricket is not allowed in Prospect Park for safety reasons. Cricket is allowed at Canarsie Beach and Marine Park. Please call (718) 965-8912 for permits and availability.

2nd-ing Van Cortlandt Park; yes still every weekend, I know they are played at the field on Broadway and Mosholu by the stables.

Also, they will be playing by noon; not a lot to eat around that area, most people bring their own coolers.
