Links to news pieces regarding animal attacks

News clips or articles or movies about animal attacks in urban or state/national parks... ? I'm trying to recall something that I barely have a memory of but which has been driving me nuts for a while now. Hell, I coulda dreamt the damn thing. I seem to recall the remains of someone found (in the USA I believe) in which police or park rangers or animal experts are interviewed and they are unable to identify the predator concretely (though they do take guesses). There may have been more than one victim and it may have happened in more than one incident. Links to any/all newscasts in this vein would be appreciated as I'll then hopefully find it by process of elimination or some of those clips might jog the memory further loose. Thanks!

The Wikipedia page on animal attacks seems pretty complete, and you could peruse 'bear attacks' or something.

And, this is one of the first results in a Google search for "unknown animal attack". Does it sound familiar?

When I was in high school there were a series of mountain lion attacks on humans in the lower Sierra Nevada mountains in northern California (in the foothills roughly along Highway 49 - between Placerville and Auburn). This was early 90's and at least one of the attacks resulted in a woman being killed - see here.

State law at the time required the Forest Service or whomever to hunt down and kill man-eater lions, and I believe it permitted farmers to hunt lions that had attacked their flocks. I got to see one of the latter lions on the day it was taken, and I kid you not, its nose was tilting off one end of a full-size picnic table, with its tail hanging off the other side.
