I want to ooh and ahh at pictures all day

I'm looking for good photography blogs. Not *about* photography, but actual photographs.

My tastes tend to run towards photographs of urban life and blight, people, weird situations, dark situations (but not so graphic you could find it on rotten.com), amusing situations, situations that make you wonder what is going on. Edgy.

When I google photography blogs I get too much stuff either ABOUT photography, or very traditional milquetoast photographs. I do like Sorry I Missed Your Party, and would take similar recommendations, but I'd like other blogs less snarky and narrow in scope. Thanks!

There are thousands, about every conceivable topic. Do you have a particular interest?

Ug...sorry, what I meant to say was that your description of interests doesn't really narrow it down, there are thousands on every topic mentioned, can you be more specific. Long day, cloudy brain.

Best answer: Your criteria read like a good definition of street photography. Conscientious is one of the big street photography blogs and their links may yield some sites of interest. La Pura Vida features a the work of various emerging talents in street as well as other genres. The flickr group hardcore street photography is another well curated source of images, as well as thoughtful discussion.

While he doesn't have a blog you can see some Richard Kalvar photos in google images, and his book Earthlings is great.

Best answer: Fantomatik was recently linked on the blue; it's awesome but can be very NSFW.

Best answer: I've been resisting the urge to self-link, but I think a lot of what I do might fit that bill.

Response by poster: Keep them coming guys! Domographer, Conscientious is a great directory that I could look through all day, and what I've seen of La Pura Vida was just incredible. MyGothLaundry, I love the way Fantomatik captures a theme with so many different photographers. And yes Komara, what you do does indeed fit the bill...a nice mix of urban scenes and more personal, quiet subjects.
