Help me make a public domain stream sound better

(freeradiofilter)- As a gesture of goodwill towards humanity, I rip the stream off of a public radio station's stream, and archive the shows, with the station managers blessing. But the Internet Archive doesn't like me....

I use the Internet Archive for a plethora of purposes, but for some reason, it doesn't seem to like me. When I upload long files (1-2 hour shows), the file usually has a few bumps in in it, as in, pauses, skips, stutters, etc. When I upload individual songs in succession, I find that the player likes to cut off the last few seconds of a track and proceed to the next. I rip at 192bps MP3 CBR, and upload the same, after editing.

Hivemind request:

1) Tips/tricks I need to know for using the IA? Their forums are akin to 4chan and their tech support is non-existent.....

2) Alternatives to The Internet Archive? (Obviously free.....)

Thanks!

Maybe ibiblio.org is worth a try.
