What was your best resource for studying med school-level histology?

Out of the many websites, texts and atlases available to study histology (microscopic anatomy) which particular resource did you find most helpful?

Best answer: Buy (or acquire through some other means) a copy of HistologyTime. Go through it as much as possible. It was the one thing that got me through histology, and I wish I had found it sooner. I don't believe there was a Mac version at the time, but I found it so invaluable that I spent loads of time in the university's computer lab so that I could study off of it. If you only buy one study tool for histology, this can be used heavily alongside course nots.

Texts: Wheater's Functional Histology is great for EM pictures. I've been told that it's sort of the gold standard of histology texts, but Junqueira's Basic Histology is an easier read for a text and has great pictures. I also loved the Netter's Histology cards for general reference.

Iowa's Virtual Slide box.
SUI Histology

For comparing normal to diseased, Utah's WebPath can't be beat. If nothing else, bookmark it for later.

Good luck!!
