Song Bowie wrote for someone else

Help me find a song David Bowie wrote for someone else that sounds just like Bowie (not "All the Young Dudes")

My roommate has this song but he's out of the country and I need to hear it now! Did my due diligence googling but all that comes up is Mott the Hoople. Not it. Same kind of deal though, you can tell within the first 10 seconds that it's a Bowie tune. Glam rock style.

I think someone here can ID it in the next 15 minutes, prove me right!

Well, according to Wikipedia, Bowie wrote it and recorded it with Queen, so it's perhaps not the song: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Under_Pressure

Best answer: Walk on the Wild Side?
Raw Power?
Lust for Life?

Thing is, Bowie 'worked' on a lot of pop songs he wasn't known for performing, so what do you mean by 'a song David Bowie wrote'? The lyrics? If he produced it?

Here's his credits at AMG.

Best answer: Could it be an Iggy Pop song off of The Idiot?

Response by poster: It's not an Iggy Pop song.

All I know is that my roommate played it and said "Bowie wrote this song" and within 10 seconds I was like "yeah, he clearly did". I'm guessing he probably produced it too since it sounds exactly like him. Male singer, full band, vocal styles like Bowie, lyrics sounded like Bowie. Very much like "All the Young Dudes" is easily identifiable as a "Bowie song".

I found this list of all the songs Bowie wrote but it's taking forever to search for them one at a time in itunes.

It sounds like it might be something from Mick Ronson's solo album "Slaughter on 10th Avenue". Same era as Mott The Hoople.

Here you go - is it "Growing Up And I'm Fine"?

Best answer: Found it! I was wrong, it was Iggy Pop. "Tonight" off Lust for Life. Dude that sounds nothing like Iggy Pop.

Response by poster: Here's a link for you to enjoy. Those drums give it away instantly. And when the vocals come in. Thanks all.
