fetish for history

Please help me to find pictures (specifically artistic representations) from any time between the renaissance and the early twentieth century, which have to do with sexual transgression and discipline.

I have to make a poster for an academic conference which will be discussing the history of this subject (Sade, Bataille etc.) Any pictures that relate in any way to this would be good, not necessarily explicit. Anything incorporating an anti-clerical element would be a bonus.

Best answer: The Erotica Bibliophile (NSFW) has several illustrations with erotic scenes, some have domination themes (one more). You might be also interested in the Cloister Unveiled gallery.

Most of the images are explicit.

Best answer: An academic conference--so you're at a university? Does your university have access (through the library, most likely) to Artstor? As Wiki notes, "ARTstor is a non-profit organization that builds and distributes an online library of more than one million images in the areas of art, architecture, the humanities, and social sciences." I've usually found whatever I'm looking for there, and though I don't have access right now to prove it to you, I would recommend that if you *do* have access, that you check it out.
