Edison Metropark... Easy and safe to park?

I have to travel from/to the Metropark station on a weekday. I'll be taking the first train out in the morning, late arrival in the evening. I'd prefer not to bill client for car service but do not have other rides available at these fringe hours, which leaves only the parking lot option. Will I find a spot at 5:00AM? Will it be safe to walk back to my car at 10:00PM?

You should be fine.

Along with the big monthly garage, there is a huge daily-rate garage, which in my experience (four-year commuter from Edison to NYC) hardly ever sold out, and then only late in the morning (9 a.m. or later).

The garage is reasonably well lit, directly across from the platform, and even at 5 a.m. and 10 p.m. there are usually plenty of people around. Safe as reasonably could be hoped.

NB - Metropark is actually next to, but not in, Edison -- it's in the Iselin district of Woodbridge.

Yes, you will be fine finding a spot at 5am. Edison is a very safe town, no worries at 10pm.
