Does anyone remember this episode of Magnum P.I?

When I was a kid, an episode of Magnum P.I. so terribly traumatized me I couldn't sleep for a week.

A woman was walking down the street. I feel like she was wearing a blue dress. She saw a boy selling things on the sidewalk. She wanted to buy a statue. He said it wasn't for sale. She took it. Then she ran. When she got around the corner, a fat man stabbed her in the heart and she died. The statue fell and broke. I couldn't watch more.

I was six at the time, so this was twenty years ago, but I've never seen more. I want to try to revisit this memory. Can anyone point me to the episode?

Thanks!

I was thinking about that one as well. But it may also be this one. It was the fourth episode of season 4, originally aired 20 October, '83. Hope this helps.

If you have a Netflix account, you can check by watching the various Magnum, P.I. episodes online.

Probably not episode 4, season 4—Rick’s sister seems to have died wearing a grey skirt and a purple bikini top (no blue dress). But, hey, the episode does have a cameo by Carol Channing!

Oh, and she dies off-screen, so no statue-buying vignette.

Response by poster: I guess I'll have to watch. The murder was definitely on screen though.
