Cheaper version of Elizabeth Arden Good Morning Skin Serum?

I love the slippery soft velvet feel of Elizabeth Arden Good Morning Skin Serum and the way it makes my face feel so smooth. But it is 34$ for a small bottle. What is this stuff and does anyone know of any cheaper brands of lotion or serum that might give the same luxurious feeling on my face? I have no delusions that it is actually doing anything wonderful for my skin - it contains silicone and that is likely not good. But I really like that soft velvet feeling of it as I gently smooth it on my face... Any ideas?

Alba Organics Aloe and Green Tea moisturizer is relatively inexpensive (I get it for $15 at Walmart), organic, and it contains hyaluronic acid which gives it that slippery, velvety feeling you're talking about. It's oil-free and not greasy at all. It's not a serum, but it definitely feels like one.

Silicone isn't bad for your skin. Paula Begoun's own moisturising gel and lotion, and super antioxidant concentrate serum all contain silicone (the gel and serum obviously contain the most). I've used the gel before, and I still use the serum when my skin is especially dry. I like them both, especially because they're fragrance-free.

Fyrinnae Velvet-Gel Silica Primer gets good reviews, and the price is right: $5.50 for a full size jar. You can order a sample to try if you want. I also like their rice powder primer. Both are silicone-free. Good luck!

Response by poster: Thank you - I may have to try the Paula products... Alba Organics products tend to be too fragrant for me...
