I'm Looking for movies that fit the theme of "Dynamic Duos" or "Opposites Attract".
So I'm on a committee that's choosing films for outdoor screening this Summer. Every year we follow a theme. This year we're split between two themes:
Dynamic Duos
and
Opposites Attract
Examples of Dynamic Duos: The Blues Brothers, Lethal Weapon, Thelma and Louise.
Examples of Opposites Attract: When Harry Met Sally, Moonstruck, Love Story, Pretty Woman.
We'll go with the theme where we can find the best mix of films (we try to cover a number of genres -- one kids film, one musical, one classic, etc.)
We've turned up a solid list so far but I thought the community here could *really* pound out what borders on an exhaustive list.
So, what movies good fit either of those themes?
*** These films will be shown in NYC, so extra-credit for films set there. Mark those as such? ***

I'm going to have to go with The Defiant Ones as a sort of all-in-one answer.
For "opposites attract," Avatar is the inevitable choice. He's a short pink Marine, she's a tall blue hippie.

Opposites attract:
Many Pixar films use this dynamic: WALL-E + Eve, Nemo's dad + Dorrie, Linguine + Colette in Ratatouille.
Annie Hall
All the films using the manic pixie dream girl type character (Eternal Sunshine, Garden State, Elizabethtown, more here).
Dynamic Duo: Sully and Mike in Monsters Inc.

Opposites attract:
Strongly second Something New. I thought I was the only person who’d ever seen or liked that movie.
The Sound of Music (classic!)
Notting Hill
Dynamic duo:
Seabiscuit (so the second half of the duo is a horse, but it still fits your theme)
Bend it Like Beckham

Opposites Attract: A New Leaf is a REALLY funny film. To me, even funnier than The Odd Couple.
