Electro-fusion please.

I'm looking for some electro-fusion. Can you recommend music from different genres that have been influenced by the electro sound, or electro musicians that have a unique sound to them?

This seemed to work out pretty well the last time, so I figured I'd try again.

I checked in over at Aurgasm today and found a couple of pretty neat groups. One was SomethingaLaMode, self-described as electro-strings.

The other group I found was Caravan Palace, which they described as electro swing. They don't quite have the same "electro" sound as the other group, but they are something fun and different. Cheesy but fun.

So yeah, any other recommendations for variations on the electro sound? The more the better!

Headman, Golden Bug, basically everyone from the Gomma label. Depending how far down the rabbit hole you want to go, there's also Mylo, Maleante, A-Skillz, Featurecast, and the Goodgroove label. If you're still hungry hit me back and I'll throw more at you.

Pepe Deluxe and Basement Jaxx are two that came to mind right away.

Cursor Miner started his career as an eccentric electronic pop act but has become more electro and instrumental in sound over time. Check out "Remote Control" at the bottom of the MySpace player to hear his early sound more clearly.

Jeff Beck's album Jeff does specifically this. Interestingly, I think I read somewhere that except for the vocal samples, it's all hardware. Trouble Man

The Asteroids Galaxy Tour is a fairly new band being pushed by Amy Winehouse. I think they definitely borrow from the aesthetic. Bad Fever

Gorillaz of course. Tomorrow Comes Today (bonus Cowboy Bebop!)

I guess the influence goes the other way since this is from 1974, but Can shares a lot with modern electronica. Come Sta La Luna

Just ignore me if I run too far afield, or not enough.

Lots of Beck, but Guerolito is a remix album of songs from Guero. Clap Hands
