Where can I find the shoes (or something similar) seen in Bright Star?

I just finished watching Bright Star and I love the shoes Fanny Brawne is wearing in this scene (also my favourite scene of the movie).
Has anyone seen a similar shoe out there?

I loved those, too! They're not the same, but you can google scottish dancing shoes for women... They're similar, but not as great. I loved all of Fanny's sartorial creations!

Looks like you can also find similar shoes by looking for "ghillie" or "ghillies" -- for example, this selection.

I actually have these shoes in black - they were versions all over the shops last year but I haven't seen any lately. I think they are knockoffs of a Chloe shoe from three or four years ago - found some on ebay, not cheap though! - and after seeing the film I was excited to see that my cheap high-street shoes would have fit right in during the late Georgian period. I wonder if Stella McCartney copied the shoes from actual fashion archives, or if the film's costume designer just though they looked like something Fanny would wear?

I found these, and some other similar shoes by searching for "three strap flat", "triple strap flat", and "multi strap flat". Vivienne Westwood has something pretty close in shape in shops now for less than £100 but it's made of plastic (not fake leather but actual, shiny, obvious plastic) so I doubt that's what you want.

Good luck! If you wear a size 5 (that would be a size 7 in the US) and you're desperate enough for used shoes, I might be persuaded to give mine up - they kind of look weird on my feet anyway. Mefi mail me if you like.

Did I say Georgian? I meant Regency. Durr.

Response by poster: Those brown Chloes are beautiful! Thanks for the search terms, Wroksie, but I think I'll pass on the used shoes.

Response by poster: For anyone following, it looks like a few knock-offs of the Chloe shoe were made. Unfortunately, that was two years ago.

If you're still looking, Topshop is selling this style of shoe again.
