Recording and editing Skype calls.

I'm going to conduct an interview over Skype for a podcast. What (free) tools are at my disposal for recording and editing? Any advice gratefully appreciated.
Are you on a Mac or a PC?
CamStudio is pretty good for screen recording.

You didn't specify your operating system, but Googling for "audacity skype" (no quotes) bears a fair amount of results. Audacity is free software that allows recording.

If you're on a Windows machine, the free program MP3 Skype Recorder is excellent, and dead simple to use. Audacity, as artlung mentioned, is great for editing.

Beyond the right tools you'll also want to get the best possible sound quality. Here's a very good ~20 minute screen-cast with great tips for doing that, also covering configuration & network set-up etc. They use a Mac, but the same tips should be applied to Windows or Linux.

Look under Extras in the Skype chat window; there's a Pamela Skype recorder.
