What was that songza-like site?

Looking for a specific music site similar to songza...

This site worked just like songza, finding youtube files of songs and playing them without the video (unlike songza). It had a minimalist black and white layout and a stupidly simple one-word name, which was a misspelling of a common word. However, the name was so stupidly simple, I thought I would remember it. Silly me. I was last on the site in the fall.

Now that songza is down, I'm resuming my search and thought I should consult the hive mind. Also, the site was listed in a wired.com article, but I have been unable to find that article either.

Failing that, i will take recommendations for other songza-like sites that aren't bloated with ads. (don't say last.fm)

Seeqpod, maybe? If not, one of the sites in this list may be the one you're thinking of. I don't know which are or are not bloated with ads, though.

Response by poster: Yeah, I found that list too. It's not there. Not sure what happened to google's "similar sites" option below certain results, but I consulted it earlier and it wasn't there either.

From the wikipedia entry for Songza, it sounds like it made a playlist of songs that you chose or searched for, as opposed to Pandora, which will only match styles, not play specific songs. Have you tried Grooveshark? It plays songs that you choose and search for, and you can make playlists. If I'm understanding your request correctly, this is the type of site you're looking for. It's my go to site for listening to songs I'm thinking of buying.

Did you try google sets?

If I enter songza & seeqpod, I get these results.

Response by poster: Grooveshark is pretty good. Still haven't found that site I was using, but I'll just keep using grooveshark. Thanks.

Um well, I'm not giving up. It's a one-word name that's misspelled, right? That's why I thought of seeqpod, the misspelling. But I like a challenge ;)

Best answer: Muziic?

Response by poster: Iconomy has it. I'm pretty sure Muziic was it, and if it isn't, it is closest to what I want. Thanks!
