How does "The House on Carroll Street" end? Our DVR malfunctioned and it cut out at the point where the agent was disarming the bomb.

Our DVR does this annoying thing where if you pause live TV too long, when you start it up again it will suddenly cut out in the middle of a scene and skip to live - usually at the end of the movie. So tonight it cut out as they were standing on the fire escape waiting to see if the bomb would go off. Then it skipped to the last scene where they were saying goodbye on the doorstep. So what happened in between? And WHO WERE THE PEOPLE IN THE HOUSE?????

"Emily feels guilty when Alan, who put his trust in her , is murdered before he can talk to G-Man Cochran, Jeff Daniels, who became romantically involved with her. Salwen who's involved with the Nazis being smuggled into the country has his goons try to murder Emily. This before she let's the cat out of the bag about the US Government being allied with high ranking members of the defunct Adolf Hitler's Germany. Salwen ends up on the losing end when he makes a fatal miss-step on the roof of Grand Central Station and takes the fall for what his superiors have been doing since the end of WWII: secretly aiding ex-Nazis in the war against Communism."
