Why is Google Chrome (OSX) rendering italics on this site as little boxes?

When I look at this site, Chrome is displaying the italics as little boxes with the letter A in them, as seen in this screenshot.

Best answer: Works for me. Try deleting cached fonts — you might have a typeface that is cached, which is corrupted.

10.5.8 and Chrome; Link renders fine.

Using odd text encodings messes a few of the characters up, but nothing like your screenshot. Have you been messing with the installed fonts or have font catalogs in non-standard places?

Best answer: Do you use a third-party font manager (i.e. FontExplorerX)? If so, it's probably this bug. I can fix it temporally by running atsutil server -shutdown and restarting Chrome.

Response by poster: Thanks everyone. Clearing my cached fonts worked, and I am running FontExplorerX.
