Identify "nina hermosa" song from the movie Real Women Have Curves

A while ago I watched Real Women Have Curves and heard a beautiful song during the scene part way through the movie when she and the preppy kid are first getting together. Went something like, "nina hermosa, nina something, nina something." Sorry I can't be more specific. Anyway, I bought the soundtrack to get the song and sadly it was not on the soundtrack. Any idea what that song is?

Did you try renting the video and freeze-framing on the song list at the end of the credits? You can also check out the soundtrack listing at IMDB and compare it against what you bought; often, there are songs listed on IMDB that didn't make it onto the soundtrack for reasons of rights clearance problems.

Response by poster: That IMDB list IS much more complete than the soundtrack I bought. Unfortunately none of the titles strike me as the song I loved so much.

Response by poster: "it's "Minha Galera" by Manu Chao. It's on the "Clandestino" album."

Yes!! Thanks.

Minha Galera is one of the many highlights on Manu Chao's Clandestino. Pick it up if you think you'd like more.

Manu Chao is great. Pick up Proxima Estacion: Esperanza as well. One of those albums that keeps finding its way back into the CD player.

Yes, Manu is a blast, something of a hero to the anti-globalization crowd here in Europe, and he's got a pretty upbeat political message. If you like his style of music, you'll probably also like Amparanoia's "El Poder de Machín". Oh, and his old band, Mano Negra as well.
