Web Presentation Interface

Web Q&A. I'm looking for a free/cheap web service or tool that will allow a group of people to ask a presenter questions via a web interface.

They should have to enter their name and their question, and everyones questions would appear in a scrolling list, automatically refreshing every 10 seconds or so on a web page that fills the entire screen (not like webex etc). Ideally I would not have to host this, but if I have to it should use freeware server side stuff my mysql and php.

You could install Wordpress and customise the template for viewing a single article (ie. remove all the blog-related cruft). Questions could be entered as comments normally would be. Add a meta-refresh to the top of the page to make it reload.

There's also the threaded comments hack which would allow the presenter to answer particular questions/comments without everything getting out of order and confusing.

Just out of curiousity, couldn't one do this over IRC? Set up a temporary IRC server and have everyone who needs to log in to a channel? Simple, cheap, and effective.
