Trekking with wolves for company

I'm trying to remember the name of a book, but Google isn't helping.
The book is about the story of a woman (I think in her 60's?) who went trekking (possibly around the world). She did it single-handedly, and I think may have done it because she survived cancer, or lost her husband to it, or something like that. There was a life changing situation involved, I'm pretty sure. I think she pulled her stuff behind her on some kind of sled.
She was on two occasions followed by a pack of wolves. This is the only point I clearly remember. I think it's been published in the past 6 months.
Google is turning up lots of wild-woman-living-in-the-middle-of-nowhere-earth-mother kind of books, but they're not what I'm after. This is a true story. I can't remember many details, sadly.

Response by poster: That's not it, but it does sound like a very interesting book. Thanks.

i've never read it, but i remember reading about it, and it sounds similar. this wasn't published in the last 6 months, though. but it was made into a made-for-TV movie.
