Findthatsongfilter: Lyrics containing "die together"...we think!
My girlfriend is looking for a song that was released around a year ago and got some radio play. Have googled the lyrics so the phrasing may not be exact. Song was indie ish lyrical and ballady. Male singer. Sorry this is all so vague; this question is as much wanting to know the song as to demonstrate the power of the hive mind to the unconverted.

Response by poster: Nope, archofatias, good try. That was one I sang on the way home along with "I will follow you into the dark" by Death Cab for Cutie. Should've mentioned this sorry.

How about Eagle Eye Cherry - Together? It's a little older (2001).
By 'indie-ish' do you mean acoustic guitar? Any more information would be helpful, like instrumentation, beat, other similar songs, etc.

It's definitely not recent (as old as me!), but The Smiths' There is a Light that Never Goes Out was featured in 500 Days of Summer (I think) and might have been resurrected on indie/college radio stations.

Best answer: Hmm, there's a song by White Lies called 'To Lose My Life' with the lyrics 'let's grow old together, and die at the same time', and was released a while ago.

Definitely not released last year (but in 1994), but contains the lyrics "die together" -- check, indie and ballady -- check, male singer -- check: Suede's Stay Together.
