Help me find a mid-priced restaurant in Brooklyn for New Years dinner!
My friends and I (about 12 of us) want to have dinner in Brooklyn for New Year's eve. I would like to keep this to a reasonable price. I'm thinking $30-50/person, not including alcohol. Can it be done? Ideally we'd be in Park Slope, Brooklyn Heights, or Cobble Hill. I think a prix fixe might break the bank. Bonus points for BYOBs. I haven't lived in New York in years and I'm stumped. Thanks, MeFi!

In that area, I would call Grocery and see what they'd do. I'd also call Franny's and see what they'd do.

Flatbush Farm is pretty good for groups, and they're food is great! Entrees are a bit north of $20 and they're not byob, but they have a great beer selection, if I recall correctly.

Response by poster: Thanks, all! We decided on Bar Tabac,
which is very reasonably priced and, I'm told, very good. Only hitch: cash or Amex only, which is fine with us.
