TOSLINK USB surround sound adapter + Mac OS X?

What is a good, working surround sound USB adapter for a Mac mini in a home theatre setup, which uses a TOSLINK connector?

(I would be using this with DVD Player, iTunes, VLC, QuickTime Player, etc. if that matters for software support.)

Best answer: I'm not exactly sure what you're asking for, here. The Mac Mini already has optical output - you just need a miniplug-to-toslink cable.

Best answer: If you've got a Mac Mini with an Intel processor you just need an adapter like Mwongozi was talking about. This cable should do the trick.

If you're working with an older PowerPC Mini, my friends have had good luck with this adapter from M-Audio.

Response by poster: I'm not positive that my model has an optical output. Or maybe I do just need the miniplug adapter.

So what model do you have?

Response by poster: According to the system profiler, I do have an S/PDIF "combo" output. Looks good. Thanks for the cable recommendation!
