Best LOC training games online

What online quizzes or tools do you know of that train people in the dark arts of LOC call number sorting and shelving?

The trainees are university students who work here a few hours per week. We only have a demo version of LC Easy, and I don't have the purchaing power to get the full version. The demo quits out after 5 minutes, so the trainee has to restart several times. Rather disruptive and annoying. Are there any free programs or websites that are really comprehensive and useful for teaching this stuff? Not holding my breath, but I guessed maybe one of you might have some tips.

Something from here? Supposedly a shelving game. Sounds hellaciously boring, but I guess that's shelving for you.

I'm having trouble seeing why shelving the books in order is a "dark art".

Madcaptenor, LCC is... less straightforward than DDC, and a lot of people have trouble learning it. The price of letting those people learn-by-doing is a lot of lost books. OP, how much Does LC Easy cost?

Response by poster: onshi, for a one seat liscence you pay $90. For a network wide license (which makes most sense for us) you pay upwards of $400. I don't think our budget has much room for this. (IMHO paying once for the program beats paying for many lost books over and over.)

I don't remember taking any fancy online quizzes or tests when I learned shelf order. If I remember correctly we got sheets much like this one and then we just did some fake shelving (like arranging the books on a cart in order) which was checked by the librarians. And then we shelved our books, uh, sideways for a bit so someone could walk around after we finished and quickly check them.

You might ask on AUTOCAT though, as I'm sure some libraries have come up with slick online tutorials they might be willing to share with you.
