Where can i buy Beau Monde seasoning mix in manhattan?

places i've tried already: food emporium, gristedes and kalustyans. i called whole foods and they said they hadn't heard of but i haven't physically gone there.

i've found recipes online to make it from scratch but i really don't want to buy all the separate spices.

thanks!

Beau Monde Seasoning is not among the classic spice mixtures; it is a product manufactured by Spice Islands. That might be why the person answering the phone at Whole Foods had never heard of it. You might be able to get it special order through one of the grocery stores you listed or from the Spice Islands' online store.

It's not magic. Make your own.

(Hit enter too soon. My point was going to be that most of those spices are multi-purpose useful for later, anyway. So they won't be wasted!)

Did you try Fairway?

Response by poster: rokusan, normally i would agree with you, but i'm moving across the country in a ford focus at the end of the month and my spice collection is already on the potential give away list.

just called fairway and d'agostinos -- no luck there either. online is a good option in the future, but i am trying to make a dip for a party tomorrow.
