Is there something like jamstudio.com for the desktop?

I am looking for a audio loop sequencer that makes it possible to "paint" with chords and having the loops to pitch shift in order.

The only software i found tht has this feature is jamstudio.com but it is very clunky.

It would be a bonus if it comes with loops.

Or is there some way to do this in ableton live?

Band in a Box is a lot like that.

Ah, you're right - I misunderstood your requirements.

I used to do this with Acid way back in the day (v2.0). You're looking for a sequencer; Wikipedia has a pretty good list of them.

Response by poster: Acid doensn't seem to support diffrent chords of the same loops either. THere is a pitch shift feature but it only seems to be able to pitch semitones up/down.

I want to be able to enter a chord progression and have the software play it.
