What's the context? Perhaps reminiscent of the band The Orb?

Complete OED comes up blank. driveler is probably hinting at the source.

Best answer: The term is an oblique way of saying "spherical".
As driveler and Arch Stanton pointed out, however, it's mainly used as slang in music circles in reference to The Orb.

Best answer: I "fourth" driveler, Arch Stanton and Smart Dalek . As already stated you often see the term used in music reviews: "Orbesque style" ...

"Mountain High starts with atmospheric Orbesque style ambience and then gradually moves through the gear box...."

"The 'veil of peace' mix could fit in well with the current trend for tribal dance music with the 'orbesque' mix being a more suited to the chill-out rooms."

"...before the post-Orbesque indie-electronica meant you scratched your nose on hearing this word."

BTW - there is a Canadian band called Orbesque .
