hoody filter

I'm looking for a hoody that absolutely MUST have a double zipper - meaning you should be able to unzip it down and up at the same time. Other details: I'm holiday shopping and looking for a high-quality hoody. It needs to be plain (no big graphics, a small logo of some sort is ok) and a dark color. It can be medium to heavy in weight. This person has and enjoys other hoodies from various skater brands as well as Carhartt - the sweatshirt should be durable like those. The gift recipient will be an adult female, but it does not matter if it is a men's garment.

I have one from J Crew and it's pretty swell. (Note the zipper in the pic.)

Response by poster: Thanks r.a., that might work but it seems that they've sold out. Anyone else?

The Milwaukee hoodie from Swrve cycling is pretty great-- but not cheap. It's more of an outerwear garment than a layering piece, and it has a long tail to cover your ass while you're on your bike, but it's durable as hell, has a double zipper, plain, and comes in dark colors. Get the softshell, not the goretex.

Response by poster: Oh! If I was still bike commuting I would so want that! But I think the person I'm buying this for would prefer cotton or wool or something more similar to those. Thanks, though.

You can get the zipper replaced at any drycleaners. It will cost probably $20-40 to do so.
Once you find the sweatshirt that is in other ways perfect, you may want to go to a fabric store and choose the perfect zipper to replace its existing zipper. If you choose to do so, note that metal zippers are quite cold to the touch and don't warm up much as you wear them.

Well, this bike-y one from Outlier is even more expensive, but pure merino wool. It looks amazing in the pictures but I've never seen it in person, and as much as I've been coveting it for a while, I can't quite bring myself to pull the trigger on a $225 hoodie.

Icebreaker has one too (and a lot cheaper), but their logo kinda pisses me off.

Best answer: lululemon hoodies are so ridiculously popular here I almost hate to recommend them, but this one looks like it has all your looking for. That being said, I've never actually owned one of their hoodies and hence can't vouch for their quality; I can never justify the price tag.

Best answer: Wings and Horns makes an awesome tiger fleece hoodie with double zippers. I have one and really like it. It's great for fall weather. It's also very slim-fitting (especially in the arms) if that matters.

I practically live in my icebreaker and nau wool hoodies. The icebreaker has a two-way zipper, but the nau doesn't. Both are exceptionally comfortable and have held up really well to wear.

I have a really nice one I got from Gap last winter. Has a quilted lining. Sadly I checked their site and they don't seem to have it or anything similar right now but maybe look in the store.

In fact it's chilly so I'm going to put it on now.
