I Just Want to Know I'm Not Alone in Hating These Damn Kids

Blogs about being a substitute teacher, either strategies or individual accounts. They have to be out there, but I can't find them.

I'm currently subbing in South Carolina and I'm interested in finding blogs written by other subs about their experiences. I've found blogs written by and for teachers (which don't really apply in some cases since I'm only in the room for 1 day) and blogs about substitutes for items such as in cooking.

I just googled "substitute teacher" (with quotes) blog and got lots of hits, too many to link to here. Supply teaching is not a term used in the US as far as I know and I was a substitute teacher on and off for many years

Not a blog (but maybe it started out as one): Dave Roche's On Subbing (link goes to Google Books). I read this little book recently and thoroughly recommend it.

I get a newsletter from this site though I'm no longer a substitute teacher. The newsletter is free, and they have a blog with a bunch of links. I used to belong to a forum but I don't remember the name of it...

Good luck! Subbing is great, I might do it again some day.
