Anobii.com not only has tagging and searchable reviews but also groups that range from a handful of people to thousands of like minds. You can also watch the shelves of anyone on the system. They use the terms friends and neighbors. Friends are people you know. Neighbors are people you don't know but you'd like to keep track of their updates anyway.
