Voice lessons in NYC?

Can anyone recommend a decent voice coach in New York City?

I'm a newbie to singing, but I'd like to learn. In case it matters, I'm a male baritone. Stylistically, I'm most interested in singers like David Bowie and Scott Walker.

This may not a perfect fit, but what the heck - I have a friend in NYC who is an amazing, fantastic voice coach. She primarily coaches for musical theatre but has a wide range. Her website is here along with contact info:

She also happens to be extremely nice.

I've taken group classes and private lessons with Claude Stein. He teaches at the Open Center (and other places), and works very well with people who are new to singing. You can check out the course description and see if it's the kind of thing you're looking for. Not sure if he's still doing private lessons though.
