Quick NYC Tailor

I'm in NYC and need to get some basic alterations done on a suit - but rather quickly.

I need the pants, and probably sleeves, of a suit shortened. Ideally somewhere I could leave it tomorrow (or Monday, if that's when they are open) and get it back Wednesday.

Is this possible? I'm on the UWS, but would go wherever in Manhattan to get it done.

Pretty much any dry cleaner that will do same day dry cleaning in manhattan will hem your pants for you same day. The jacket is the tricksy bit: does the jacket have working button holes? If the jacket just has buttons sewn onto it, no big, they'll just pop them off and shorten the sleeves and stitch them back on, but if it has holes and the holes all need to be redone, you have to go to a real tailor and that will probably take longer. unless the suit has working sleeve buttons but you've never worn it or had that bit finished with just this eventuality in mind, then you might be better.

For instance, the dry cleaner in Grand Central does same day alterations for small stuff like hems.

I rely on concierges at local swanky hotels to tell me where to get fast turnaround for tailoring, shoe repair, etc-type stuff. Yes, sometimes even if I'm not staying there. They're just so knowledgeable about that type of request, and I figure it doesn't hurt to ask them for advice.
