I have my email set up in Outlook 2007. I archived my old emails, which turned them into a .pst file which I cannot, for the life of me, get to open in any format I can read. Help!

You have to open the pst via Outlook. Go to file -> data file management -> add -> navigate to location of .pst -> close. It should then appear at the bottom of the left panel as a navigable container with your email in it...

The pst is basically a container that you dump all your mail, calendar, contacts into so it can't be read as if it were an individual email file.

Outlook 2007 opens PST files.

As far as I know there are no open source or free tools that will recover email from an Outlook 2007 PST.

I've used RecoverMyEmail in the past if Outlook can't open a PST.

If what you meant was that you tried to use outlook to open it and it was all screwed up, there's a tool you can use to fix that.
