Identify this herb/spice!

Please help identify this herb/spice!
one, two
As you can see in the pictures, it's sort of... soft? Fluffy? The smell isn't sweet or spicy, just... different. And sort of strong, too. It just sort of looks (but doesn't smell) like potpourri, but it was given as a gift with a few other herbs/spices/seeds, so I'm going to go ahead and assume that this is (supposed to be) edible, too.
Furthermore, how do I cook with this, and what can I do with it?

Best answer: Looks like sage. Does it smell like turkey dinner?

I would agree. Looks like sage. And from the looks of it. it should be nice and potent if it's been stored properly.

Sage and onion stuffing is the reason for the season. Whatever the season.
Also use with any potato or pork dish, or rub fine between your palms and mix into butter and use that to dress tortellini/ravioli.
Sage is also supposed to be good for sore throats.
