What's that song from my childhood? Late 80's. A band was on TV performing this song. It may have been on local cable access so this is a long shot. It was about the Flintstones.

All I remember is the chorus which went "Wilma Betty Barney Rubble Fred, Yabba dabba dooooooo-oo" It wasnt in an overly goofy or satirical way. Sung by a male singe with a deep voice in a low energy groovy stone rkind of way. Anything?

Could it have been "I Wanna be a Flintstone" by the Screaming Blue Messiahs?

Long shot, but it's the only Flintstone song I know of: "Bedrock Anthem" by Weird Al.

The B-52s did the soundtrack for the 1994 Flintstones movie as the BC-52s. Maybe it was one of their songs.

Almost definitely the Screaming Blue Messiahs.

Response by poster: Its not that Screaming Blue Messiahs song or the B-52's. It was much a slower and lower energy song and it had that exact line: "Wilma - Betty - Barney - Rubble - Fred, Yabba dabba dooooooo-oo."

Mustve been a very local, totally unknown group. Damn.

Something from this, maybe? The only song I remember from it was "Beverly (Brontosaurus)" but maybe one of the others?

I think they must have played it on WPRB in Princeton, NJ in the early '80s.
