What interesting things are there to do/go to for New Year's in London / the south east of England? Not necessarily big well known events (not that I can find any), but anything interesting, quirky, underground, whatever.

You mean like the enormous party they have in Trafalgar square on New Years eve ?

If by party, you mean large, heavily-policed crowd standing in the cold for hours on end with no entertainment, then Trafalgar Square might be ideal for you, otherwise it's best avoided.

The first thing that popped into my head was this, since it's what I'd be doing this New Year if I was down south. But there's interesting and quirky and there's interesting and quirky, I guess.
