Is there a useful online mailing address search tool?

StalkerFilter: Is there a decent, useful address search tool available on-line? I'm working on sending out Christmas cards, and I don't have anybody's address. [MI]

It seems stupid to call/email and ask, "Can I have your address. I'd like to send you a Christmas card," but that's what I'm left with. Of course, many people I know don't have land-line telephones, but a few of these folks should be in a decent directory somewhere.

For really hard-to-find people, Search Systems seems to be a useful directory of (mostly free) public records online, by state. In North Carolina I can look people up by voter registration, and in my county I can look up property tax records, both of which contain addresses.
