Typically, does Stephen Malkmus play much Pavement at his shows?

Saw Malkmus March 2008 in Indianapolis. No Pavement tunes. I wasn't as familiar with his later stuff with the Jicks (although I played the hell out of his first solo album), but after seeing him live it grew on me in a big way. Go if you have the chance, just don't expect him to whip out the oldies.

Not at the show I saw. In fact, it was mostly new stuff. This was earlier this year.

Seem to recall reading an aside in a Pitchfork interview that he doesn't play much.

I just saw him a few months ago at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco. It was a solo Stephen Malkmus acoustic show and it was a whole lot of Pavement. It was amazing. That said - I've seen more traditional Stephen Malkmus shows with him and what ever band he has joining him and in those cases - no Pavement that I can recall.

I've only seen him doing solo acoustic stuff, and it's had a fair amount of Pavement in the mix (like, four songs out of 12 or so). But those were weird Found/This American Life shows that my college put on, so it was likely not the normal set up.

I saw him once a few years ago. He played no Pavement, which was sort of disconcerting - his voice is so recognizable as The Pavement Voice.

Ive seen him three times and he never played any Pavement tunes. He did play "The Milwaukee Show" here in Milwaukee in 2003, which was a complete set of Pavement songs...bummer I missed that one.

I've seen him play with the Jicks, twice. No Pavement.
