[Movie] I know what movie: Call of The Wild (1993), I need to find it !
I have tried many times to put my hands on this Call of the Wild movie, a TV-movie.
I can't find it anywhere. I wrote to the italian tv network who used to broadcast it, I downloaded infinite (wrong) versions of this movie from torrents and aMule.
Apparently there is only one second-hand VHS on amazon.com and I don't think they made it on DVD. Ideally I am looking for both the italian and english version.
What steps would you take? PS, I am in Europe so a standard issue might also arise.

It's available in the US via Netflix's streaming service (and it might be helpful for you to know that it was digitized by the Starz cable network). You might be able to get someone to make you a VHS copy from the stream. It will be NTSC rather than PAL but in my experience many European VCRs can play both so you may be OK on that front.

I also checked Hulu, and while many streaming sites state that they have the 1993 version, it's actually the Charlton Heston one from the 70s. So don't waste your time trying to get through to Hulu via proxy etc.
By the way, I see 17 copies on Amazon right now, not just 1, starting around $3. It doesn't seem like it should be hard to get your hands on one of those.
But I can't imagine where you would find one dubbed in Italian; is it something you saw on television? Maybe your library system would have the dubbed version.
(p.s. who knew there were so many adaptations made from that book???)

Response by poster: Thanks for the answers so far. Of all the amazons websites, i could only find it in the US.
I guess so far the best solution will be ordering one of the 2nd hand VHS from amazon.com, have it shipped here and find somebody that can capture an NTSC tape and put it on DVD.
I guess that will make it impossible for me to have it in italian, but better than nothing.

(this is the Call of the Wild 1993 with Rick Schroder in the Lead Role) If you scroll down on the page on IMDB, there is a line for "merchandising links" and they list not only amazon us links but amazon japan, uk.
