What boots can I wear that will keep my feet dry and look good with business clothes?

I have a job that requires me to wander between different schools throughout New York City. Some days I wear a suit, and some days I wear pants, shirt, and tie. What waterproof boots can work with my work wardrobe?

Best answer: I'd suggest black Blundstones.

Maybe something like these Timberlands? Or these Hush Puppies?

I bought these Kenneth Cole boots - they are the best.

I get my boots at Sears. Great selection, great prices, and generally long wearing boots. I tend to go with the DieHard brand. I've been wearing these boots for a few years. Just give 'em a good dousing of Camp Dry and you'll never have wet feet again. Ever.

How much do you want to spend? The Red Wing "Gentleman Traveler" would be perfect (though fairly expensive), especially once you've treated it with some Sno-Seal. It will also last for, like, ever. You might also consider White's Semi-Dress, which is even more expensive but durable, or the Frye Arkansas, which is somewhat less expensive.

Best answer: Paraboot makes some gorgeous (but probably pricey) work-appropriate mens' waterproof shoes. For brands that are more accessible, though, I'd recommend Eccos, Timberlands or Rockports - each has a variation that looks dressy but is suitably all-weather.

Seconding RM Williams. They sell through outlets in the US - just Google.
