Flickr authentication Token

Could someone please help me better understand how to get the Flickr authentication token...from flickr?

On the Flickr Services page are links to view your existing API keys and to apply for a new API key. I believe you want the "Apply for a new API Key" link.

Programatically:
If you download the Phlickr library, it comes with a command-line script that helps you get an authentication token.
