Time for a new cell phone!!

It's time for a new cell phone and I'm looking at the Samsung Instinct or the Motorola Razor2 (v9m). I am looking for information on the sound quality of these phones. Will others be able to hear me and will I be able to hear them? Any other information about these phones would also be welcome. Thanks all!!!!

Best answer: No experience with the Razor2, but my gf has had her Instinct for about a year now, and absolutely loves it. Very good sound quality on both ends (I can hear her, she can hear me), to and from a variety of phones. She really likes the touch interface, texting is easy, fits in a pocket without being obtrusive. Picture quality is good, she likes the interface for the web access, and the EA Sudoku app (purchased, doesn't come with) is both very easy to use and stupendously addictive.

I've never had a problem with the Razr, after switching begrudgingly against my will away from my LG Rumor (which I adored, and miss unabashedly) when my company transferred my consulting gig to Motorola. Sound quality is fine. I'm not a huge fan of the phone (I miss my Rumor), but it makes and takes calls with no problems.

Best answer: Instinct user here, since February. I'm pretty happy with the phone. Great sound quality coming and going, the GPS and turn-by-turn voice instructions are a favorite, web is reasonable, though sometimes a bit wonky depending on the site. The phone does an incredible number of things well. What I don't like is that it has a limited number of useful apps, most of which can be pricey. But if that's not a deal-breaker for you, no biggie. Check out the user forums at http://www.buzzaboutwireless.com/cms/phones/instinct-by-samsung.html for more.

A co-worker absolutely HATES the Instinct. He complains about everything with the phone, the UI, the sound quality, etc. He only still uses it because he is waiting for some specific phone that is going to be released soon but I don't remember which phone that is.

Response by poster: What I'm hearing is that the Instinct is going to be the right phone for me... it's good to know the potential problems but I'm pleased that most of the reviews I've found on line and the comments above are largely favorable.

Thanks for taking the time folks!
