Baby Bike Helmets - a Parent's unobtainium!

Where can I find a bike helmet for my 14 month old daughter? I have been looking everywhere! Everything I have found is 3+ and too big! If you know of a place that sells baby bike helmets, please let me know!

Have tried:
Sportsmart
Walmart
Canadian Tire
Zellers
Toys R Us

Can she hold her head up enough to wear a bike helmet? Lack of sufficient neck strength is the typical reason they don't sell helmets that small. Our bike trailer specifically recommended not to put in kids under 2 - 2.5 years old.

I found one at Target -- it took some looking but we managed to find one that was designed for that age. I think it was the Bell brand.

Response by poster: Yeah, she can hold her head up. We have the companion carrier for the back of my bike. It states 1+.

What is the circumference of her head? Looks like REI and Amazon have infant/toddler bike helmets.

And I would imagine she can hold her head up, she's 14 months... probably walking/cruising or very close to it.

Seven Star Sports is Canadian and they have a toddler helmet. MEC has one too.

BELL BOOMERANG INFANT HELMET is what we got back in 2003, but it looks like they are still available.

I would go to a bike shop, not a big-box retailer. Several of my local shops have a large array of kid helmets. I tried on about 4 before I found the one that fit my kid's noggin the best.

If a bike shop does not have infant sizes in stock, they should be able to order one from their distributor. I just bought some for a friend to go with their child trailer.
the Lazer brand "BOB" model was the smallest I found, at 46cm.

Bikeshop employee boyfriend says:

Louis Garneau makes a good infant bike helmet. They changed the sizing on this recently so it may not be suitable. Also, the small "flow" was quite small and may be appropriate if they still stock it. And they're a Canadian brand...

Bell also makes good kids helmets.

Lazer is nice but their retention system is a bit clunky - but they last stocked them three years ago so this may have changed.
