Looking for an home elliptical machine with a high enough weight limit for plus size workouts
Through changing my diet, I've lost almost 20 pounds (Yay!) off my 350lb plus frame (I'm 5ft11) since mid January, but now that I don't hurt as much I want to buy a machine to help me lose even more. I have been looking around sporadically for a few months doing research and keeping an eye on craigslist and ebay. The problem is most of the machines out there don't support anything over 275lbs except gym-quality machines that cost more than I'm willing to pay. So my question to the hive mind is this: Do you know of specific elliptical machines that have a 350lb plus weight limit under $1000? Space isn't really an issue and I'm really looking for specifics because I plan to buy used off of craigslist and I would love to be able to recognize names of machines are going to fit my need since most people don't include that kind of info in their listings. Thank ya - uh thankyaverymuch.

I would go to your local gyms and ask them what they do with their equipment when they replace it or look for "refurbished gym equipment" from resalers/dealers. I bought my StairMaster that way for $350 and it was a real gym-quality machine; places like this or this, maybe. I found a local place and picked it up myself to save money, but you can have it shipped or delivered, too.
