BSG in NO?

I'm staying with a friend who has no cable in New Orleans. This Friday is the last episode of my beloved Battlestar Galactica. Is there anywhere in this city that would show the episode? Bars, coffee shops, gaming stores - I am not fussy, just nerdy.

Worst-case scenario, you could probably get a hotel room.

Or persuade your friend to sign up for cable (it's Tuesday morning--make that appointment now).

If your friend has broadband, there's certainly to be a justin.tv channel broadcasting it.

Not exactly what you're looking for, but if you do miss it, you can catch it on Hulu eight days later...

A torrent is typically available about an hour after broadcast. Or so I've hears.

Best answer: Squeal BBQ, 8400 Oak Street.

It'll hit iTunes a few hours after for $3. It's what I do - but no help for you if you want to watch it "live".

Well, this will probably be the fastest- and best-seeded torrent in history, so that's probably your easy way out.

Other predictions: 90% of the dangling plot threads won't be addressed at all, or even acknowledged, and the final credits will fade in over Journey's Don't Stop Believin'.

It's almost worth waiting until the next day and buying it off of iTunes. BSG is soooo much more enjoyable without the commercials. Plus you can pause or go back and rewatch those "hey, what was that?" moments. There will probably be plenty of those in the finale.

In regard to box's comment, a LOT of hotels don't get the Scifi channel. Don't count on that being a solution...at least call ahead first.

I know nothing about BSG, but I do know that Oak Street on the way to Squeal is completely torn up. You need to turn off of Carrollton onto Zimpel (away from Tulane University), then take a right onto Cambronne to come up beside it. You can then park on Oak or Cambronne.

I'd stay offline and then just watch it online the next morning.

Actually, that is what I'm gonna do.
