Computer hardware acquisition for small businesses

Does anyone have any experience with acquiring computer hardware, support, for a small business? A friend of mine has asked me about this, and because I only deal with it from a helpdesk standpoint for a huge corporation, I really don't have any ideas what types of options exist for small businesses. [MI]

The company has only 4 employees and are looking for laptops, on lease, or an upgrade program that would allow them to upgrade when their laptops become old/out of warranty. I know programs like that exist for large corporations, but don't know what interest they'd have in a sardine, instead of a whale. Other things that they are interested in is support contracts, onsite or some sort of equipment replacement, since these will be there primary machines and will constantly be on the road. Does anyone have any experience with this, can anyone point me in the right direction?

Dell, but the lease program is kind of a gyp. I'd just buy them outright unless they can't afford to. Get the "gold" package on-site warranty ... that's about the best you can do for a small business unless you ask around and find *good* computer support people in your local community -- and even then, with laptops, you'll end up waiting for parts if/when something fails.
